How to Screen Record on the iPhone?

Enable Screen Recording in Control Center:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Control Center.
  • Tap Customize Controls.
  • Scroll down and tap the green plus button next to Screen Recording to add it to your Control Center.

Start a Screen Recording:

  • Open the Control Center by swiping down from the upper-right corner of the screen on an iPhone X or later, or by swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen on an iPhone 8 or earlier.
  • Tap the Screen Recording button (a circle inside another circle). The recording will start after a three-second countdown.
  • If you want to record audio, press and hold the Screen Recording button, then tap the Microphone Audio icon to turn it on.

Stop a Screen Recording:

  • To stop the recording, open the Control Center again and tap the Screen Recording button, or tap the red status bar at the top of your screen and then tap Stop.
  • The screen recording will be saved to your Photos app.
